Directions from Faro Airport to Ayamonte

Leave the Airport on the road that takes you past the roundabout, with figurines looking up to the sky. Look for the blue signs for the Motorway (E01), and after about 1 mile, turn off onto the N125. This is signposted LISBON, but will lead you to the right (only) Motorway. If you miss this turnoff (or choose to continue to the next major intersection), don’t worry, as you can take the next major road to the Motorway (N2). After about 3 miles, as you approach the Motorway, take the entrance signposted SPAIN.

You now stay on the Motorway for approx 25 Miles, until you approach the PORTUGAL/SPANISH border, and the GUADIANA RIVER BRIDGE. Immediately over the bridge into Spain, you take the first exit, signposted AYAMONTE. As you come off the motorway at this exit, stay in the left hand lane which takes you down to the Motorway roundabout. If you stray to the right fork, you have to stay on the one way system to the next roundabout before you can turn around, to get back to the Motorway roundabout. From the Motorway roundabout, take the third exit into COSTA ESURI, passing the Fadesa ‘shed’.

When returning along the E01 Motorway to Faro Airport, the exit to the Airport is marked, and is the one after the first exit marked Faro. You will see the large football stadium before you leave the Motorway. This motorway exit has two small exits, and you want to take the second one.
